At Celtic School Tours, we know that sending your child on an international trip is both exciting and a big responsibility. This guide is designed to give parents peace of mind and practical information about preparing students for their journey to Ireland.

1. Student Safety and Supervision

  • All students are supervised by experienced tour leaders and school staff throughout the program.
  • Host families are carefully selected, vetted, and known to our team.
  • Emergency contact numbers are provided to parents and remain active 24/7 during the tour.

2. Accommodation with Host Families

  • Students stay with welcoming Irish host families, offering a safe and supportive environment.
  • Families provide meals, a clean bedroom, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Living with host families allows students to practice independence and experience authentic Irish life.

3. Travel Documents and Insurance

  • A valid passport is required for all students. Please check expiration dates well in advance.
  • Any necessary visas or travel authorizations are the responsibility of the student’s family, with guidance from our team.
  • Comprehensive travel and health insurance must be arranged prior to departure.

4. Packing and Preparation

  • Students should bring appropriate clothing for all weather (layers, rain jacket, comfortable shoes).
  • A modest luggage allowance is recommended; details will be shared with your school.
  • Please pack any necessary prescription medication, with clear instructions for use.

5. Health and Wellbeing

  • Parents must provide all relevant medical information before departure.
  • We accommodate dietary needs and allergies whenever possible.
  • First aid support is available during all excursions, and local medical care is accessible if needed.

6. Communication with Home

  • Students will have regular opportunities to contact parents by phone or online.

  • Participation in scheduled activities is required, unless excused for health reasons.
  • Any serious breaches of conduct may result in early return at the family’s expense.

8. Payment and Cancellations

  • Payment schedules and deadlines will be shared with each school in advance.
