9-Day Educational Tour of Ireland – Sample Itinerary
Students will embark on a guided 9-day journey across Ireland, exploring:
Ancient monasteries and cathedrals
Castles and historical landmarks

Day 1 – Arrival in Ireland
Arrive at Dublin Airport, where you will be met by your private coach. From there, enjoy a scenic tour including:
- Trim Castle
- Hill of Tara
- Newgrange
Arrive in Virginia, Co. Cavan in the early evening to meet your Irish Host Family, who will welcome you into their home for your immersive stay.
Day 2 – Irish History & Ancient Sites
- Morning History Lessons with local instructors
- Afternoon visit to Fore Abbey and Loughcrew Cairns, two hidden gems full of ancient legend and spiritual history
Day 3 – Day Trip to Belfast
Travel north to Belfast, where you’ll explore the world-famous:
- Titanic Museum, located on the historic shipyards where the Titanic was built
Day 4 – Exploring Enniskillen
- Guided tour of Enniskillen Castle, rich in Gaelic and British history
- Relaxing boat trip on the River Erne, taking in the natural beauty of the Lakelands
Day 5 – The Wild Atlantic Way
- Journey to the iconic Cliffs of Moher
- Visit the charming village of Doolin and enjoy a boat trip beneath the cliffs
- Explore the unique limestone landscape of The Burren
- Evening arrival in Galway City for an overnight stay – enjoy local music and vibrant atmosphere
Day 6 – Aran Islands Adventure
- Morning sightseeing in Galway
- Ferry ride to one of the Aran Islands, where you’ll experience traditional Irish culture
- Return home to your host family after the island visit
Day 7 – Culture & Outdoor Activities
- Morning History Lessons
- Afternoon kayaking adventure (weather permitting)
- Evening Irish Cultural Night featuring music, dance, and local traditions
Day 8 – Dublin City Experience
- Full day in Dublin City exploring major sights
- Visit Trinity College and view the historic Book of Kells in the Long Room Library
Day 9 – Departure
Transfer to Dublin Airport for return flight to the USA
